My vision en mission for my practice:
Reducing the unnecessary lack of necessary life needs: touch, relaxation and sincere attention. Why would anyone have a shortage of this? Well-being is a human right and it should be accessible to everyone. That is why from 2021 I no longer work for money, and from now I will live on donations.

A Sleeping & Spooning-Session is an overnight session with – just as in regular Cuddle Sessions – touch, relaxation and sincere attention for you.

My offer of Spooning & Sleeping sessions have been around for some time, but only for clients who have visited me before. At regular Cuddle sessions there is the option for you to take a nap in my arms, but I stay awake. During a Sleeping & Spooning session I also sleep. I do remain available to be woken up, just like a night shift in healthcare, for example. Like regular Cuddle sessions, this session can be designed in in different ways, for example:

  • In the evening before going to sleep, talk a little about what’s on your mind – just like a regular Cuddle session. Then we both fall asleep and in the morning you have someone to say “good morning” to.
  • If you are bothered by nightmares or other restlessness during the night, you may (or actually “must”) wake me up if you need comforting arms or a conversation.
  • During some Sleeping & Spooning sessions here is hardly any sleep. Some people enjoy playing board games all night or doing a movie marathon with some snacks and tea or juice. (So yes, it remains a session without alcohol or other drugs)

Below some examples of Sleeping & Spooning sessions during my recent study travels.


The last six months I have been on several study travels: Dec 2018-March 2019 in Auroville-India and Chiang Mai-Thailand and May 2019 Vasiliko/Lefkandi-Greece. Along the way a number of people came to my path who, for various reasons, needed a Cuddle Session but also Sleeping & Spooning sessions. As I always do, we first discussed their situation and their general and specific needs and expectations, and then the session followed.

  • In Auroville I met someone with chronic pain complaints who spent a few nights practically pain-free in my arms. I also learned that the days between the Sleeping&Spooning sessions were much smoother and filled with less pain.
  • In Chiang Mai I met:
    • a traveler with an always busy mind and therefore difficulties sleeping. In addition, the country of origin was a restless country where war, occupation and other woes regularly take place. This person slept like a rose for a number of nights and when the nightmares came… the peace was soon found again. Just because I was there and this way it was easier to find it here and now again.
    • an expat with longing for a hug and a talk before falling asleep and after waking up.
    • someone whose partner had an affair, but who wanted to give everything to keep this relationship. These nights were alternately filled with deep rest in cherished safety, or with tears and frustration that needed comfort and a listening ear.
  • In Greece I met a number of fellow students who had an overloaded nervous system caused by various reasons. Partly because of that, they are regularly flooded by their emotions and feelings of stress. Shorter and longer Cuddle Sessions, including before bedtime, brought relaxation and literal sighs of relief, sometimes accompanied by tears. Later they told me they had slept very deeply and woke up rested.

Practice space
Just like for regular Cuddle sessions, you can come to my pleasant practice in Amsterdam for Sleeping & Spooning sessions. Here we sleep on one or two Terapy cushions. Because of the grains and the elastic cover, it forms like a soft cocoon to your body and so you can fully relax. Another option is the comfortable sofa bed. Depending on your wishes, you can sleep on a firm mattress or use various softer top mattresses.

Home visit
In consultation the Sleeping & Spooning session can take place in the comfort of your own home, Carollyne can come to you. For home visits (within Amsterdam) no additional costs are charged. Conditions for home visits are that it concerns a smoke-free home, there are no pets in the sleeping area and there is clean bedding.


The costs of a Sleeping & Spooning session are 550 for a session with duration of 9 hours. Longer sessions are also possible, with a charge of 60 euro per extra hour.

From 2021 I no longer work for money, and from now on I live on donations.

Of course I still need money to support myself so I can continue my work.

Q & A

Question    : Who are the Sleeping & Spooning sessions for?
Answer       : For anyone who has a need for touch, relaxation and sincere attention while going to sleep. Everyone is welcome and will have the opportunity to find a break. From twentysomethings to seniors and children, people who temporarily have no relationship or whose spouse has deceased, people with partners, single parents and pregnant women, people with a disability, illness or who suffer from depression, and business people with crowded agendas. But also if you’re not in this list you are welcome.
(For people with physical disabilities: unfortunately my practice is nog equipped with lifting elevators and similar equipment. However, I am familiar with these systems, and a home visit might be an appropriate option.)

Question    : Are Sleeping & Spooning sessions only individual or also in a group?
Answer       : Sleeping & Spooning sessions are individual sessions like regular Cuddle sessions.

Question    : What are the benefits of cuddling and/of Sleeping & Spooning?
Answer       : Contact with other people is of great importance. During touch your body reduces the production of stress hormones (e.g. cortisol, adrenaline and noradrenaline) and increases the production of hormones causing you to feel comfortable (e.g. oxytocin, endorphins and serotonin). Various researchresults have shown this. During a cuddle session all kinds of processes take place in your body that help you to relax physically and mentally. Question    : Is it possible to have sex during a Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : No, under no condotion. Lepeltje Lepeltje only offers friendly based sessions, whatever sessions it may be. There are no sexual or erotic services. While making the appointment and at the beginning of the cuddle session this will be clearly illustrated to avoid misunderstandings. When inappropriate behavior or improper requests occur, the session will be terminated immediately.

Question    : What happens if I get aroused during a Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : It can happen, but it will be not addressed. If necessary we can take a short break, or change position.

Question    : Can I talk during the Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : You may certainly talk. A Sleeping & Spooning session is your time to relax, talk, listen to music, watch a movie, enjoy the silence or sleep.

Question    : Can I wake you up during a Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : Yes of course. If you wake up because of a nightmare or other restlessness during the night you may (or actually “must”) wake me up if you need comforting arms or a converstaion.

Question    : What do I do when I feel uncomfortable of become emotional?
Answer       : It may happen that during the Sleeping & Spooning session your emotions suddenly appear. This is all normal and allowed. You can put it to words but it may also wordless be what it is. A pause, a sip of water or a different cuddle position is always possible. A comfortable and friendly solution will always be found.

Question    : What kind of clothes should I wear?
Answer       : You can bring your own pyjamas or comfortable clothing. Sweatpants and a T-shirt are also fine. You can also wear a clothing set provided by Lepeltje Lepeltje. During cuddle sessions everyone always at least wears underwear, trousers and a T-shirt with short/long sleeves.

Question    : How can I make an appointment for a Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : Just call or e-mail and if you get the answering machine, leave your name and number and I’ll call you back as soon as possible.

Question    : Is it possible to schedule an daytime appointment?
Answer       : Yes sure. If you work night shifts or due to other reasons are awake at night and sleep during the day, you can plan your Sleeping & Spooning session during the day. Call or e-mail to schedule an appointment.

Question    : Can I smoke during a Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : No smoking during the session, and preferably also not right before the session begins. For home visits one of the conditions is that it concerns a smoke-free home.

Question    : What if I forget my pyjamas?
Answer       : During the Sleeping & Spooning session you can always borrow apair of pants and a T-shirt from Lepeltje Lepeltje.

Question    : Are home visits possible if I live outside Amsterdam?
Answer       : Appointments outside Amsterdam are possible on request.

Question    : Can I just walk into the practice to make an appointment?
Answer       : Call or e-mail before coming to the practice. Due to home visits I am not always in the practice. It would be unfortunate for you if the door is closed and no one is present to answer. Besides that I could be in the middle of a session/treatment, and it could be disturbing.

Question    : Do you have a movie list from which I can choose if I want to watch a movie together?
Answer       : On request we can choose a movie together within appropriate film genres. There is a wide range of music, but you can also bring your own music or favorite book.
If you want to enjoy watching a movie together in the cinema, you can use the cinema service.

Question    : Can we also do something else then cuddling and sleeping during the Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : When you make your appointment we can discuss what you would like to do. A massage treatment to help you relax befor going to sleep is one of the options. Maybe you’d like a movie marathon or bord games with snacks, listening to music or chatting al night. All kinds of options are possible.

Question    : Will there be something to eat during the Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : Yes that’s possible. If you notify me in advance what you would like to snack during the “movie marathon” or other activities, or what you would like to eat for breakfast, I can arange that for you.

Question    : Can I drink alcohol or use other substances during the Sleeping & Spooning session?
Answer       : No, under no condition. And not before the session starts either. It remains a session without drugs.

Question    : How can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Answer       :
Up to 24 hours before the scheduled time of your appointment, you can call or email to cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge. Missed appointments will be charged unless it is notified at least 24 hours in advance.
